It looks like a disk issue, check your HD for errors, and try cleaning or reburning the DVD.

Is this when you are booting from DVD or after Installation?

If it's the DVD try to boot up using latest Kernel by typing "/mach_970" at the boot prompt.

I solved that problem,I used my other dvd drive.
But now I have 2nd problem.
If I type -v :

Did you select nForce SATA/IDE under Customize during Setup?

D1mk3 08-14-2009 12:45 AM

No dude, how can I do that?

D1mk3 08-17-2009 03:22 PM

anybody?????

Imkantus 08-17-2009 06:31 PM

I am sorry I missunderstood you, skiped that you made use of an other DVD drive and thought that error ocured on HD installation...

Well your second problem looks more serious then the first one.
If it's SATA try to set it to AHCI mode in your BIOS, if it's possible.

Furthermore I recommend you to try the hint I gave you in my first posting, using the drive you tried for the first time. ;)

When you boot up from your DVD some screen with a count-down will show up, if you hit some key during this you'll get to the prompt where you can hit your boot command, should look like this:

If the 9.7 Kernel gives you a panic also you may try the ToH Kernel, which is on the DVD also by using "/toh" as boot command. Hope one of them will work for you. :)

Helloo,
Anybody???

milanca 08-24-2009 12:15 PM

Hello D1mk3,

From the last picure, your Mac paniced (kernel panic), do not use this kernel. From the first picture, as they guys told you, you had issues cause by bad media, dvd or dvd-rw was bad. Still waiting for root device, you should check a little more about this issue; you have links here at the forum regarding possible solutions, means that installation can't find driver for your chipset controller. It means that you will have to manually re-pack installation, inject driver, and then install from that newly created dvd. You can do it from other Mac or within Win using Transmac (search the net how to do it). Other solution is to try to find the distro with already included drivers for your chipset controller.

Regards,

In my case, booting with -f solved that kind of panic;
