help snow graphic card problem/pics
 

hi all

i install NVenabler 0.1.kext and Nvinject_0.2.1 but i can't dvdplay to run
get and error below:

There was an initialization error

A valid video device could not found for playback [-70017]


please help so i can fix this

how can i find out if it is

go into About this Mac, click More Info. then go to Graphics/Displays. or is the menu bar see through?

ok i check in the com.apple.windowserver.plist and its enable..
so thats working.

in the about this mac
the graphic is listed...

i also Notice that my folder "extra" is empty..
During the installation, what Should Be in there..
My Mac OS is still running Fine ,Except For the graphics Portion .
The video cards listed In the about this mac, under graphics Properties . I will Post a pics

i was just toll that NVinject? It's a natively supported card.

what i'm suppost to us for card 8800gts 640mb to work with snow leapard 10.6.1

please someone help to fix problem

Don't use injects.

Use device property string for your video card in com.apple.boot.plist.

For nVidia 8800 GTS 512 MB it's

i remove nvinject and add the new number# you sent, and repair permissions & reboot
system boot o.k. no panic.

so i try to run dvdplay and call of duty and got the following error's

help system crash...

did snow leo and Leo both crash? if not boot into the other.

i had a problem with the video card not seeing it,but working
then this guy toll me edit the com.apple.boot.plist and change spring to he send on the post
so i did what he said not to use nvinject .
so copy past the numbers, and did repair permissions
i install natit.kext with kexthelper after i reboot system fine.
then started do fundy thing, finder stop working. when try reboot system it give gray box panic.
the last pics i post show it doing.
waiting for service start time out.

Did you cut and paste the number (hex string) I gave you or did you edit it first? No spaces or returns.

The hex sting is for an nVidia 8800 GTS 512 MB ... it won't work for other Geforce cards.

Your boot.plist should contain ....

<key>device-properties</key>
<string>your hex string</string>

Use vanilla graphics kexts, no custom or injectors

after the crash i try fix the extensions.kext but no go.
so reinstall snow leopard 15mins up and runnibg now..

my graphic card is 8800GTS640MB not 512
also i did extect what you said but the video still boot at 1024x768.
anything else that can try..

i think i got it.

i open EPIStudio and selected my card 8800640MB, when next windows open it show the spring code,
but didn't use the one it give me , i add the one you post. everything seem to be working.
dvdplay ran o.k. also call of duty2 ran o.k., next i will be install imove to see if it run..
