Use efi strings using the manual GFXUtil method. Anyway, so your memory is at 1600? Its like mine, shouldn't be a big difference.

|
this part that do not understand, then i switch to 64 it rewrite my com.apple.boot.plist
with: http://resources.vr-zone.com/image_d...7bc211a105.jpg this part, i do not no how fix.... |
Haha, your right about the boot time! I overclocked my ram to 7-7-7-20 1t/n and 1320 mhz (from 990) and my boot time went down to 14 seconds. Yay. Thanks. Do not switch the to 64 bit in the APP. Go to the Extra/ or the original location of the Com.Apple.Boot.Plist,m and add -x64 if you have Chameleon RC1/2, If you have RC3, use arch=x86_64.
Also, try putting the EFI string in the Extras folder or DSDT. |
hey x986123
this so wicke, one min i,m runing in 64-bit mode, then it switchs back to 32-bit mode.. is those it when i open itune or if run call duty2. its so fundly how fast it run. in 64 mode, when i open Safari it just Popup on screen with the net load. |
thanks
but i do not hive Chameleon RC1/2 or RC3, i need guide in how to install....it. i hive the file, but don't how to install. infact i try installing RC3 but a panic about "" number of theads on core found one instead of three "" |
it boot Chameleon_v1.0.12.
|
haha got it
i ran a test in the booting process, got my video graphic running in 64-bit mode and snow running in full mode 64....time 13.4 secon ... so how do i add [ -x64 ] to my boot... do i add to my com.apple.boot.plist and how.... <key>-x64</key> or <string>-x64</string> under <key>kernal flags</key>... hey x986123 can you show a sample of com.apple.boot.plist. thanks |
fix
problem fix...
<key>-x64</key> in com.apple.boot.plist thanks x986123 |
I'm booting 22 seconds! Not complaining at all !
|
cool dude.
you running snow on a laptop |
hah I wish i had a laptop that could run snow. I got an HP DV6000 with AMD and it wont boot even any Leopard DVD's.
|
hi 986123
how and where do you put -x64 , please show a sample thansks it only works when i type in at boot. |
|
thanks
i try that, but dosn't work. only works when i type it in at / boot: -x64 eveytime i boot. |
this line : arch=x86_64 dosen't work me
-x64 dose work, but only after the Boot Banner count 0 to 5 i stop it, boot: -x64 snow boot into 64-bit |
Did you type the whole things out?
<key>Kernel-Flags</key> <string>arch=x86_64</string> |
yes
that command dosen't work chameleon 1.0.1.2v only at when i type -x64, do you hive a guide to install a 64bit kernal, like chaneleon2rc or rc3 |
Just get Chameleon RC1 installer, and use Netkas 10.3 PCEFI, or get Chameleon RC3.
RC3 installer located somewhere one the forum. |
frames, put the boot flag -x64 in the com.apple.Boot.plist found in the
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder .... That should work .... |
hi mindlessmissy
i did that. but also didn't work at boot, it only work when i type in at boot: |
So according to that app i've got everything in 64-bit except EFI. How do i change that? I'm assuming my hardware's capable. Not sure though.

Ah. Figured it was probably something with the bootloader. That's ok. I've got this thing purring pretty good except for sleep. I'm sure a chameleon update'll throw 64bit EFI in there soon enough. Thanks for the info :)
