Hi , i installed Zephyroth's DVD without any probs but only graphics driver were not really working (only 1024x768 and no qe/ci).
i tried all titan, natit then nvinject again. no one could help me to adjust the driver so that it worked for me :( no i have installed "zephyroth nvidia universal installer" which based on nvinject and now i can change my resolution but dont have QE/CI . What did i have to change in the kext or plist to get that running ???? Pls help me i try it since 3 days and soon i`m getting a heartattack :-s my system : AMD 4200 x2 Brisbane AM2 AsRock AM2NF3-VSTA NForce3 250 chipset NVidia 6600GT AGP 2 GB Memory SoundBlaster 128 PCI RealTek 8139 NIC 1 Maxtor 160GB IDE 1 Samsung 320GB Sata LG DVD Sata |
Huh? An AM2 board with AGP? Crazy combination. I also have an AGP board, my Radeon X1600 is fully working but it's detected as PCI. Could you describe what System Profiler shows in Graphics? A screenshot would be great.
|
ok here is a screenshot

Yes, looks the same on my AGP system. But I don't know how to patch nVidia cards :(

Is there nobody who might be able to help me? Thanks. |
You can try to add the device ID into the info.plist for nvdaresman.kext, geforce.kext, nvdanv40hal.kext
|
Hey Huppat,
I've also got a NVidia GeForce 6600GT, and I want to get Dual Monitor work. My 19" Screen on VGA works with 1280x1024, but my 20" Screen on DVI doesn't work. So let's wait together for help. ;-) |
crawle: PCI-E or AGP?
|
Oh, excuse me. Mine is working (or not) over PCI-Express. But the problem is the same. I've got the newest NATIT-Kext (for Dual Monitor support on NVidia), but my 20" DVI Screen only shows the Boot-Screen, after that he's got no signal.
-crawle |
Have you tried to put your monitor on the second DVI-out (if you have one) ?
|
I don't have two of them. I've got a DVI and a VGA output. If I plug in both monitors, it shows the VGA-Monitor. If I only plug in the DVI-Monitor, it shows the DVI-Monitor. "Detect Monitors" doesn't work.
|
crawle: have you tried a DVI-2-VGA adaptor?
|
@ roisoft: what did i have to change there ??
can you pls explain it ?? |
add the device ID , for do it, open a terminal and type this:
sudo -s (password) nano /System/Library/Extensions/GeForce.kext/Contents/Info.plist you will see something like this Code:
repeat this step for all the kext nvdaresm... ok? before reboot type from terminal "diskutil repairpermissions /" |
i used zephyroth's installer and there are sooo many id's :(
i think i dont get it work ... (sorry i'm too stupid) :D could you change this for me ?? on the screeny above you can see my device id. it would be great Edit: i've installed nvinject 0.1.5 and now i have QE/CI :) but if i start an openGL prog leo reboots :( |
imo - may be AGPGart.kext 2.2 (joblo) could improve things? (works for me on Tiger).
|
which driver is the best for 6600GT AGP?? any suggestions ???
i have installed nvinject 0.1.5 WITH agpgart 2.4.6 is this right ??? i cant run trough all opengl extensions viewer tests . xbench runs fine. call of duty 1 runs with poor performance. other games and benches will be tested. to be continued............. |
Hello,
I have an Nvidia Card which is defined in "System Profiler" as an "0x00cd" and I installed on Zeph's 10.5.1 the last Nvidia Universal Installer. Quote:
After reboot, I just have "1024" in my screen section. Do I need to do something else ? Thanks, iero. |
Ok, I added "10de" in device IDs, but since then, my X freezes 10 seconds after log in....
Erk ! |
If your device id is "00cd" (not the revision id ok?), add this line "0x00cd10de" to the info.plist and for the permissions open a terminal and type
Code:
sudo -s 6600gt I28 AGP 0x00f110de 6600gt 128/256 PCI-e 0x014010de |
Thanx roisoft, I've done that.
Now, at reboot, the system freezes at "dsmos: Starting..." The end is not so far away ! Thanx for your help, iero. |
Hi all,
this is my configuration : ASROCK AM2NF3 VSTA Athlon 64X2 4200+ My problem is : I can"t boot the new AMD EFI 10.5.2 Zephyroth on my system ..; because it always freezes on the blank OSX page (which ask you to reboot) and with the -x command it freezes on the blank page (but without asking you to reboot).. What's the problem with my configuration ? Do i have to change something on my system ? thanks a lot and congratulations to zephyroth ! |
and why are you posting here? this is for 6600gt AGP, right? :)
