when i loggin the msn,it told me my password was incurrent or the usrename is not exist..but i can loggin the msn in my friend's macintosh!If it is the hackintosh's problem?

I honestly can't say why it's not logging in for you, but why not try out Adium X and see if the problem persists.

i can loggin msn in Adium..but i dont know why can't loggin in messager...

I think that msn messenger doen't work with Hackindos, I have tried it also and it didn't worked. You can try aMSN which is quite simillar to MSN.

Has anyone run Marvin's Utility on it in case there are any CPUIDs that need fixing?

i ran zeph 10.5.2 ver2 for awhile and i could never log in to msn
i always got the same error as you do
and there is no way to fix it there is something with your hardware that is stopping it from signing on
when i tryied leo4all and kalway i could sign on to msn
I could never figure out the problem

and there are no cpuid in msn or office for that fact

Maybe Zephyroth could give us a way to solve this...

I used Zeph release(s) of mac os x and never had a problem logging in to msn with Aduim, never used MSN for Osx but aduim worked flawless with everything I used. Yahoo, Aim, MSN.

O another note, if you have a router with firewall you may have to edit it. Aduim keep crashing when I would use aduim and found I needed to add ports to my firewall and then no problem after that

I'm using Zephyroth's AMD Rev.2 and Adium right now with an MSN account and I can log in fine so far. I didn't see any CPUIDs that needed to be patched that relates to Adium.

dagger, the error which is discussed in this thread is only related to Microsoft's Messenger for Mac. ;-)

yes, i have exactly the same problem with msn, i'm almost sure it is a problem within Zephyroth's AMD Rev.2 because it works fine on my intel hackintosh, anyone using Zephyroth's AMD can try this for us? If it is only a msn problem that's fine, but i am worrying maybe there are some network related flaw or something in this Rev.

just do this
Set your own DNS-Servers, under Network "Advanced..." --> DNS e.g.

4.2.2.2 & 141.1.1.1
Normally only your Router will be listet.

then:

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
After this, start Adium and enjoy ;)

i installed the new kalyway 10.5.2 on a seperatly HD and i was able to login into (microsuck) MSN Messenger
in zephyroth's 10.5.2 rev2 i had the same errors like yall

but no need for me to change from zephyroth's to kaly because i prefer adiumX :P

I can log in without problems MSN messenger in Mac OS X, however, I can't successfully send/receive files, only in iChat I can do that.

and i use the standard forcedeth kext (that is bundled with kalyway and zephyroth's release)

i think it's the network's problem maybe.

I once used onboard nforce network card with forcedeth.kext, then I changed to a rtl8139c for stability, also deleted forcedeth.kext. In both situation I can't log to MSN, it tells me wrong account/password anyway. Actually I dont use MSN, but that is an issue.

Still no solution for this problem?

Yea well it didnt work for me on rev 2, so i installed leo4allv3 and everthing is working now :)

Because the next release is nearing as Apple prepares the next major Leopard update, 10.5.3.

So it is clear that the problem is only in Rev2, even Rev1 is ok. So only Zeph can help us with this. What change do you have from rev1 to rev2. Maybe just the similar one with "wrong alias corrupt smb connecting"?

Come on Zeph, you are our only hope.

I have no time to check why MSN don't work with Rev2. There are a lot of others IM apps, use them by waiting for my next release or use Leo4All (even if a reinstallation of the whole system just for one app is ... weird.)
