Blue Screen, 9400GT

Hello Guys,

i build an Hack for my Wife and run into a strange Problem. I chose a nVidia 9400GT 512MB and a SL 10.6.3 System.

With OSXUtil i make a Custom EFi String, VGA/DVI, 512 MB. I reboot and it works great!

Next day, i turn the Computer on, and when the OSX Loginscreen Appears the Screen goes Blue. When i unplug the Monitor and replug it, 2 things can Happen.
1.) The Screen is transparent Blue, but u can see the Desktop a bit.
2.) Everything is perfect and works great.

What the ---- ? o.O

The Wife Acceptation factor for Replug the Monitor everytime she starts the Computer is... uh... lets say Low ^^ So i need a solution when i want that she use this Hack :)

I try NvEnabler, but it does not work ( BlackScreen after Boot ) and try different NVCap ( DVI/DVI, DVi-VGA ). Black Screen.

I see a Guide using GFXUtil to get the EFI String. The Problem is that u must use the GFXUtil under 10.5. I dont have a working 10.5 on this Computer, and dont want to install it only for this.

Any other Solutions? i thanks a lot :)

Have a nice day!

Yeah, its pretty much annoying to replug the monitor every time the computer is started. EFI string should do the trick, don't know why this happens, the blue screen. I will try to make it for you tomorrow so you can try with that one (not on my comp. right now)

Will you try with this one, replace device-properties in com.apple.boot.plist in your Extra folder. You can use TextMate for that.
