I have a GA-EP35-DS3P. I've tried to boot to install Snow Leopard from a USB stick with your kexts and DSDT.aml but after select USB BOOT on Chamaleon menu, the kexts start to be loaded from USB and during the boot (pre-install) I get an error (I think is KP) like can you see in image below. And the CMOS is reseted.
You have to use the latest dsdt with SL fixes and not the one from the package, its for 10.5.x. I think you used the same kexts for Snow Leopard; you need different kexts for 10.6. I will include required kexts for SL.

You can update your existing installation to 10.6, or, maybe much better way, to use external usb hdd or second internal hdd(if any) to install SL, test it, set it all up and after that restore it to your main internal hdd or just install it again from within SL.

NOTE: Please do not use this DSDT for other boards than EP35-DS3. Some boards have the same tables but some have different ones. EP35-DS3R has exactly the same one so its safe to use it. I am not sure about the "P" variant of this board as i have not personally compared it with mine yet. The best way would be to compare DSDT first before using it on another mobo variant.

Hey, i've installed SL running on 10.6.2 now.. however i do have a problem, at times finder seems to hang up and other applications. For instance finder sometimes shows a folder blank with the spinning gear on the bottom. It takes forever to load the files. It seems my installation is not stable. Any suggestions ? I used this guide for my installation .

Thank you so much for your last post! I have a EP35-DS3R board and I have almost killed myself getting it to work with SL and your dsdt did the trick. I now have working ethernet, audio, USB ports and I no longer have to use NullCPUPowerManagement.kext!

You are my hero. As a way to show gratitude, here is a AHCIPortInjector.kext I modified to allow for native sata support. With this you no longer need IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext.

Thank to you my SL is more vanilla than a coffee creamer!

Hi, I have the same mobo, but at the moment no way for me. Can you help? Thank you! jb

Hi!

I have used the guide posted above on how to install from USB stick.
I cannot get it stable.. =(

How do I create an install DVD with the package and fixes posted here?
So I have a chance of getting everything right from the beginning.

I guess I somehow have to include the package and fixes in the install DVD somehow...

Fantastic installer! It's given me my best Hackintosh build so far. I was able to update from 10.5.6 retail to 10.5.8 via Software Update without a problem.

The only issue I'm having is I can't get sound to work AT ALL. I've tried adding the ALC889 kext, the Apple HDA kext, all that, but it doesn't work.

Any ideas?
