This is interesting! It would be surprising though if Apple advocates this. I think they should though, its a good marketing strategy, haha. Its also interesting how it discusses all of the releases that are available and its pros and cons. You can tell that the author of this article tried these releases on their machine. =)

I am still having a strong feeling that Apple is violating anti-trust laws. Therefore, installing on PC is legal. I purchased my own Leopard copy and am considering moving onto a real MacBook Pro in the coming weeks, but the O/S should be designed to run on all systems regardless. You can't obligate interested consumers to purchase the company's desktops/notebooks just because they include the world's most advanced operating system. This is in direct violation of the antitrust acts. I support Apple, but may be Apple should support what the public demands first if they want more control over the computer industry. Take over Microsoft, that's all you have to do, although that is considered monopolizing, merge, and start new! =)

I love how they included all of the different install disc types, Now well we see a boom in people trying to learn how to install osx on their pcs??

Hopefully we don't get a flood of people that asking how to do it w/out reading the numerous of posts how to install osx86.

x2. However I think they wouldn't want to create drivers so all different types of hardware will be compatible for genuine Mac pc OS x. But then again many people have already created drivers for patched osx86. Only time will tell but just bought a macbook for school and finally a authentic Mac owner haha. I would buy a MBP but I already have my nice desktop rig so no need... for a year or so haha

Haha. I am still having that strong feeling that the OSx86 Project is working for Apple. Apple knows so much about this project, and hasn't done anything to address it. It appears to be that in the near future, Apple will change its agreement and finally support Mac OS X on PC's, therefore, they are depending on us. I can guarantee you that the entire community is working for them. It wouldn't be so hard for Apple to finally extend their support over to PC's since we all have basically contributed to all of these distributions that Eddie11c, Zephyroth, Kalway, JaS, etc, created. Apple is probably evaluating one of these releases right now in their headquarters to figure out which one will be best suitable to fit on PC's. =))

Exactly. That means Microsoft is really going to have to step up their game because if not Apple is going to be taking over haha

I think they already know why zuz242, because they know in a 1984 US Supreme Court Trial, there is a saying that software publishers cannot obligate users to run operating systems on just one platform. =)) Check the article out on AppleInsider. This is why Apple is unable to press charges on Psystar, lol.
