Alright so I had this problem with Zephyroth Rev 1 dvd and never figured it out. I'm now running Re 2 I had to reinstall because I killed my install with this 10.5.3 update lol anyway now my drive won't boot unless I load the dvd first which makes darwin run. I am wondering if there is anyway to get the darwin boot loader running on my drive so I don't have to keep this dvd in my disc drive anymore?

Get to terminal

boot up the osx86 install dvd
select tools in the top menu bar
select terminal
Find out which hard disk to install mbr to, if you only have one its rdisk0
restore mbr with following command
hit enter
respond with the answer yes to if you want to install new mbr
Please keep in mind that depending on how many hard drives you have it might not be rdisk0
