You need to provide a little more info such as what distro you are using, did you use GUID or MBR when creating your partition, are you using a SATA or IDE HD etc, etc.

You might also want to consider looking here: http://osx86.wikidot.com/how-to-s#toc5

You need to make your partition bootable.

darwin kernel version 9.1.0: Fri nov 16 14:50:43 SCT 2007: made by Toh:xnu-1228.0.2~1/build/obj/release_I136

now that your drive is already bootable (it doesnt hang at a flashing cursor). Try a fresh install. Personally from experience I would use the chameleon boot loader but unless you patch a dvd you wont be able to install that till you have already got OSX on.

i saw this solution but i don't want the leopard to be in safe mode.. what shld i do?

--- safe mode ---
Leopard Bootup freeze

Issue: During bootup the system freezes with an error:
Kernel Version:
Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Fri Nov 16 14:50:43; made by ToH:xnu-1228.0.2~1/Build/obj/RELEASE_I386

Resolution: Reboot your pc, and use the following flag at bootloader:

-x

keep up the reading on the FAQ page. Have you already installed meDevil's kext for SATA HD's?-what version of OSx86 are you installing (zeph 10.5.1, 10.5.2, leo4all, etc.)? some of these answers may help get the ball rolling a little faster for you. kernel panics are no fun but they aren't the end of the world.

hi i reinstall zeph 10.5.2.. and i did this
sudo -s
fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX --->(X is the number of your HD, if you have only on its 0)
update
f X --->(X is the number of the partition where you installed Leopard)
w
q
reboot

but it still hand at the blinkign cursor
