I have a question

I'm running Kalyway 10.5.2 right now and I have a question about the:
iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Intel AMD SSE2 SSE3

I'm new to this mac thing so please understand that I'm a newbie at this all...

When I 1st installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my computer I just clicked install I don't have to select anything before install, like drivers or kernels ... because Kalyway 10.5.2 must have automatically detected my Computer and did everything for me.. all I did was install..

My question is will the new iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Intel work for me without having to select drivers and stuff?

and if I do have to how will I know what to select ?

thanks to all the helpers

I have a D915Gev Motherboard
2GIGS Ram
500GIG Hard drive
...
.. its stock, I use onboard video and sound.

You got lucky if Kalyway detected all your drivers. Either that or the native Apple kexts worked for your hardware. This is not something that normally happens. Most of the time, complete customization is needed to make a system run OS X (especially AMD boards).

ah yes, the D915Gev Motherboard made alot of ppl happy when it came to installing osx... thats what I have read... works right out of the box..

its made by Intel and all the drivers are also Intel

Well you could give it a try (if you really wanted) without trying to customize first but this is at your own risk. I'd never advise someone to do this unless they've already found it to work with that specific distro and their system in the past.

Dose it even try to discover the drivers?

if not whats an easy way to pick my drivers?

the scripts that "auto-install" the correct drivers aren't put in place yet... Thats a feature that is still in development. You need to research more info about your system so you will know what to select for yourself if it comes to this.
