Some help on optimizing boot times and upgrade
Hi,
i have my system running ok (kaly 10.5.2), but i'm having a long boot time (the boot pauses for about 40 seconds in the IOKITwait), is there anything i can do to solve this? Besides this i have a relative good Xbench (about 85.75) output , i think i could have better scores if using a video card instead of onboard video, but i can be wrong... thanks for any help. |
my specs
i made a signature with my specs, but it just wont become attached , anyway here they are :
Motherboard ABIT I-N73HD (chipset GeForce7100/nForce630i) , CPU Pentium D 3.2 , 2 Gb RAM, SATA HD , SATA DVD-RW, video onboard , Realtek LAN (PCI) |
check this:
http://www.infinitemac.com/f4/soluti...problem-t1674/ (pointing to: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...2&#entry987152) it helped me speeding boot down to ~40sec ;) |
Thank you!
