Recommend you try on your own, helps you learn a thing or two about your software and your hardware.

yes but if my hardware isnt compatible and something goes wrong i will lose my computer rite?

Data loss is always a possibility, even on supported hardware, so I don't understand why you're even really asking that.

If you have important data you wish not to lose and cannot back it up to another location, I recommend staying away from OS X, as the install process involves reformatting your hard drive in most cases.

Your hardware will be fine. If you don't like Mac OS X, you can boot a Windows CD/DVD and reformat the drive and go back to that system if that's what you want. I don't know what could possibly give you the idea that your hardware would become damaged.

ok i will try but when i am partitioning my hard disk
with Partition Magic there is an unlocated space disk of 8mb should i delete it?

You can do your disk partitioning with the Mac OS X Install DVD. It's easier.

This made no sense.

Depends. Some people end up logged out when selecting "About This Mac", some don't. All I can say is try and see.
