8800GTS 512 MB - Need driver help
 

Hi

First of im quite new to osx, so bare with me... Im trying to get my card to work in world of warcraft. But gets "wow was unable to start up 3D acceleration" I've used the 9f23 installer and EFIstudio.

I hope there is some kind soul out there in OS86 that can help me :)

This is your problem :)

I dont have a 8800GTS, so i cant say witch driver will work for u , but my Wifes computer has a 7600GT and i use the standart OSX Kext with a EFI String.

Do u have give the standart Kext a try ?

Your problem lies in Core Image. You dont have hardware acceleration enabled.

It`s for 8800GT but ppl wrote that it worked for GTS aswell. You have EFI tutorial, NVInject and custom kexts there - maybe some of this will work for you.

So you wanna know what worked i guess ;D I decided to give the new IPC release a try, used the 9f23installer and EFIStudio.. rebooted the system. and bingo a working gfx card :D
