Dell Vostro 1000

Well i have a Dell Vostro 1000, i downloaded 10.5.2 AMD and also Leo4All V4.1.1 and they both do not work. can people help me?

Code:

Processor :AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile TL-60
Instructions sets    MMX (+), 3DNow! (+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, x86-64
Hard Drive: 320 GB SATA2
Wireless: Dell 1505 802.11a/g/b/n
Memory: 2048 MB DDR2 266 Mhz PC2-4300
Motherboard: Dell 0WY383
Chipset: ATI XPress 200 (RS480)
Southbridge: ATI SB600

Well Currently it has a 120 GB SATA @ 5400 rpm but i am getting a 320 GB SATA2 Hard Drive @ 7200 rpm. Anybody know the best way to install Mac OS X on this?

iPC 10.5.6 with minimum PPF2 should work great. It supports SB600, of course Turion works ok with 9.5.0 voodoo, so it should work without additional modifications. Not sure about your graphic card, but u can fix it later if the system will work. Leo4all won`t work, i don`t know the exact reason but it never boot`s on Turion machine, at least when i tried it.

well the graphic card is ATI Radeon 1150 256 display

You will be able to change resolution. Not sure about QE/CI - say, does this card have it`s own memory, or does it use only system shared memory ? Remember seeing info that OS X doesnt support shared memory but not sure if it`s true.

Video card: ATI Radeon Xpress 256 MB HyperMemory (integrated)Radeon X1100

Hmm, take a look here :

http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Rad...50.2173.0.html

It seems that this card doesnt have it`s own memory. It could be a problem in case of enabling QE/CI - im not sure but from what i can find on web, OS X doesnt support cards with shared memory only - can anyone confirm that ?

alright thank you, i guess i just have to build a computer to support mac :(

Well, system will work, youwill be able to change resolution to the native, but you wont have hardware acceleration if my informations are correct. You have to decide if it`s ok for you.

cohenj 02-27-2009 01:08 AM

what do you mean i will not have hardware accelleration? and change resolution to native, only one setting?

Can Somebody tell me a List of Driver to Check when i install?

Taisto 02-27-2009 01:11 AM

Well, you will be able to change resolution, i`ve checked and ppl succeded with this card. But you wont have hardware acceleration so no 3d app will work, and for example movies in high resolution might not play well enough. But i guess u should just try it.
