Any way to make limewire 5.0.11 work with 32bit?

Well, the newest version of limewire for a mac is 5.0.11. And it requres java 1.6 which is not available for 32 bit mac operating systems.

I'm wondering if there is a way to modify the java package into thinking I have a 64 bit operating stystem or trick limewire into thinking I have java 1.6

If you`re using Voodoo kernel, have you tried to boot your system without -legacy flag ? Well it should work in 64bits then, though im not sure if im correct. And i know that it does not always work ( it works for me though ).

what is the -legasy flag? I've never herd of that haha

-legacy forces your system to work in 32bits. Check kernel flags in file com.apple.Boot.plist - if there`s "-legacy" one, remove it, and try to boot again. If it wont boot, you can always write it manually when you start your system ( f8 )

Om amd systems 64bits is not enabled by default. So you have to boot with -force64 to check if it works for you.

booting with -force64 booted up my system but when trying to run the install again it failed. Im going to look into what Taisto is saying.

Btw did I really post this in the New Releases and Updates section?!?!?!? or did it get moved here? because I don't remember posting this here. Doesn't seem to fit in that topic?

Anyways thank you for the help =)

Well, booting without -legacy and -force64 should have the same result. Just make sure you don`t write -force64 on f8 prompt while you have -legacy added to the boot.plist file, cause i dont know which one would take priority.

Umm, i think it was moved here by accident or something, it was in support section i guess.

I'm using it with a 32-bit only Intel Celeron M 420 with no problems...
