Best OSx86 disro for my custom build
 
These are the specs for my machine:

2.66 Intel Core2Quad (overclocked to 3.0Ghz)
8GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9500GT
EVGA nForce mobo
EDIMAX EW-7128G IEEE 802.11b/g WiFi
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme
250GB IDE hard drive (also has a 500GB SATA drive used for Windows Vista, if that matters)

Can I install OSx86 on this machine, and if so what distro should I use?

you can try iPC 10.5.6.....;)

Should all be good, except I don't think the Kx drivers are working for X-fi yet, so you may have to use your onboard sound instead. Otherwise, everything should work well.

iPC worked! As Ali C said, I have no sound. But also no Wifi. :( Everything else seems to work fine though.

Sometimes you have to hunt and peck for some of the drivers. I'd say this was the case for your wifi and your sound even if you went with the onboard.
