sigmatel HD audio
 

Hello, I have a Dell XPS 400 with everything working except for my sigmatel hd audio. this is onboard sound, and i have tried the azalia audio. in output list in audio settings, there are no outputs. any help would be nice, i'd like some sound. i remember there was a patcher program in 10.4.10, but i don't know if that is still around/still works in 10.5.6

Your machine is the same thing as mine... perfect, except the sound.:( PLEASE IF YOU HEAR ANYTHING OR FIX YOU SOUND LET ME KNOW as I will do the same. I have spent countless hours on this issue.

Try VoodooHDA, easiest one to get audio working, needs a clean system with no extra/modded audio kexts installed.
Alternatively you could search for a patched AppleHDA but you need to know more specific details about your Dell model/Sigmatel chipset.
