ALC890 Sound working .. possibly others too.
So, after reading and reading and searching for a simple solution to the ALC890 sound problem I have it fixed and working. The trick is very simple. The new voodooHDA.kext
I suspect this will also work with 888, 889a, etc.... The link is here http://www.infinitemac.com/f36/new-v...-driver-t2585/ This driver has solved all problems for my ALC890 sound driver. Simply used osx86 Tools on an iPC 10.5.6 ppf5 final installation to install the kext and reboot. Badda-bing ! Soundsville. If someone with 888 or 889a drivers can try this as well and see if it works that would be good. My system is an ASRock p45ts-r board for anyone else running it or something similar, Give it a go, it might work for you too. Cheers, -thesstriangle |
I tried the voodoohda on my 888 under snow leopard 64bit and alls working fine here.
