did anybody can get 4870 with hdmi/DP/VGA outputs working under snow leopard? i only get black and white rubbish when i put my device id in ATI4800Controller.kext.

i use palit 4870 512 mb.

in leopard, i use framebuffer to enable this card. how about SL?

I got my 4870 working by:

-adding my my graphics card's device ID to the ATI4800Controller.kext
there are guides to show how to do this.

- using the following guide (in the link below) to add an efi string to snow leopard com.apple.boot.plist file in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

I also installed MacOSX_10.5.6_radeon_hd_48x0_drivers.pkg (you will have to google for this) but I'm not sure if that helped.

thnx for reply. i hav follow ur method but still got rubbish display. what model of 4870 do u use? does it hav hdmi/DP/VGA outputs too?
