Intel X3100 Graphics Become Distorted / Stretched After Sleeping
 

Hi all,

I have a problem with my Thinkpad X300 where, after sleeping and rewaking my laptop, my X3100 graphics become stretched and distorted. I wrote a guide on installing SL on the Thinkpad X300, and the only person who has followed it so far does NOT have this issue. They have the same revision graphics controller as I do.

I had them zip their /Extra and /System/Library/Extensions, and I COMPLETELY overwrote these directories on my system with their directories, and I STILL have the problem.

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? Are there any other crucial system directories that I can try to mirror from his machine to help find the problem?

hi you have efi string for X3100? Can u paste it here?

ahhhh, I solved my problem. The problem was that i WAS using an EFI string. Once I removed this string it all worked for me.

Try installing this:

hm these drivers is from 10.5.x :) I am running on vanilla kexts from 10.6 :) (better perfomance)

Please paste your efi string :)
btw. Try patched dsdt.aml :)

I am running 10.6.1 and these drivers work fine for me. I don't use an EFI string.

X3100 = 965 :)

x3100 chipset 950 and x3100 chipset 965, erst nachdenken!
