im new i was wondering if there is a distro or somthing that will work on the laptop im getting
because i dont want to start wasting loads of dvds

Please provide usefull Hardware Information i.e. the result of "lspci -nn" if you wan't a reasonable compatibility statement.
GMA 4500MHD isn't supported after all.
