new to the scene. need help installing on my hp pavilion tx 2000
 
hey guys,
my cousin talked me into buying a copy of snow leopard and now im stuck... can someone help me from the beginning? here is some details on my notebook.

HP Pavilion tx 2000
2048 MBytes of DDR2 RAM
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Tl-60
Socket S1 (638)
NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 shared memory 768mb

any help getting started would be much appreciated!

I think you should know beforehand that most shared memory nvdia gpus have very bad support if they have any at all (apart from MCP79 series). You will probably find out that you will only get it to work in low res, no resolution change or hardware aceleration at most.

Sure it "works" but this guy has no "graphic acceleration" - just running in the VESA mode - as thorazine74 mentioned above. ;)

This migh be problem if you want to watch HQ videos and things related. If you're just into tasks like text processing and surfing the web, you can ofcourse work properly with it - maybe with some little glitches in the GUI.
