ALC268 Snow Leopard
Hi!
I've just installed the Snow Leopard 10.6 (10a432). Almost everything is working (apart WiFi - Intel 5100). However, I can't make the sound work. I've installed VooDooHDA.kext. It made the sound work. A kind of. There was just an indicator on a FInder menu that the sound is but I couldn't hear anything through the speakers. After Google'ing I discovered a Taruga's patch. However, it has caused a Kernel panic Any suggestions? Thnak you! |
Here ya go this should fix this problem
http://www.infinitemac.com/f36/anv-a...leopard-t4557/ It might or might not work... |
Nope, it didn't work neither :(

Are you sure that you had the correct Output device selected in the System Configuration / Audio / Output, when using VoodooHDA?
|
There were 2 different outputs Digital and sth like SPTH I don't remember. However, neither of them worked properly - I didn't hear anything from the speakers but also both of them were playing sound (I found out this in iTunes when I started music playing) 2x faster! Even on YouTube!

You can use patched AppleHDA.kext for Leopard, but with 32-Bit Kernel only.
You can either get a patched one here or better patch it yourself using Tarugas Patcher & a codec dump file. If you want to run 64-Bit Kernel & Extensions, you can try to port it using this Guide: http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/guide...a-to-sl-t3981/ |
Ok, thnx, I'll have this in mind. However, I've tried Taruga patch and it did nothing also :D
