Have you tried downclocking your cpu ?

dasepsilon 02-23-2008 10:30 PM

or try cpus=1, that was the case with my config

House 02-24-2008 10:34 AM

downclocked to 2.4 and still crashes

i'll try with cpus=1

FYI: This kind of problem happened to me all the time in Windows. In Windows, it is a known issue that nForce ATA drivers cause the BSOD when copying large files. May be a problem related to the nForce drivers, although in Leopard 10.5.2 and Linux I didn't have this issue at all...

My Mobo is an ASRock 939NF6G-VSTA.

Good luck in your search (maybe you should try the nForce drivers that came with 10.5.1? I don't know if there's a difference...)

I had a similar problem... Turned out to be one of my HDD was faulty... Took me sometime to figure it out though...

cpu=1 isn't the problem and I had down clocked my cpu

I get them less frequent but still. When Time Machine backs up I get a kernel panic (large file size)

I'm gonna try to install the nforce kexts from 10.5.1

House 02-25-2008 05:39 AM

what kexts should I be looking for on the 10.5.1 disk?
