GMA900 - Am I the only one left using it ?

anyone else out there using a GMA900 out of interest? It's been quite a challenge getting this working on Snow 10.6 (not dared to upgrade to 10.6.1/2 yet), along with the Intel 915G but I've managed it - almost. I'm not 100% sure about QE/CI (had them working in 10.5.6) so that's my next step

Raise your hand if you're a fellow GMA900 rebel :)

I read something about that on the Netkas site so just trying to find out some more detail before I jump in at the deep end. I think I'l be making a few backups first though :)

GMA900 - one more out there

Very interested how you got snow working on the GMA900 - any particular distro or method that you could share?

I used the USB method from Prasys ...

particular things to note - I used the latest Chameleon with 10.5 PC_EFI, and also the mach_kernel_432 mentioned in the post.

Specifically regarding the GMA900 - I've have Leopard working from 10.5.4 to 10.5.6 so I used those kexts. Sorry I don't really know where they came from -I've lost track after the many install attempts. I'm actually using the GMA950 kexts with my deviceId added.

You can find my kexts here in a zip file. I did also create the kextcaches with the -a i386 flag too -all 32-bit for now. Next step when I have time is to try 10.6.2 - as pointed out above has the 64-bit drivers, so worth a shot...

loochie: I can't make my installstion USB stick boot into disk selection GUI on the GMA900. I think it is before any kext is loaded. Is this correct? Which version of Chameleon you are using?
Thanks.
