Hi, I got the 10.5.2 rev.1 torrent and installed with no problems, but I'm discovering some strange minor glitches here and there, wondering if there are any ideas. This biggest one for me right now: Bonjour and AFP don't work. But, more annoying for me is:

Mail.app won't remember passwords. Filling them in on the account setup screen in preferences doesn't get saved, even though the prefs screen says the "this account is changed, want to save" when I close it. Going back in, the password field is empty again instead of the dots. Also, if I check 'save password in keychain', the password gets saved there, but Mail.app later won't find it there and asks for the password. I tried dumping all my Mail.app prefs, deleting my keychain and starting over, same problem.

I don't have this problem on my vanilla 10.5.2 install on my Core 2 Duo box; I tried moving over another Mail.app from my Macbook and re-patching it with Marv's and still same problem. This is slightly sucky since I use Mail.app to check 4 different IMAP accounts, so I have to enter a password 4 times plus another 2 for the SMTP servers.

My system is a Tyan K8E (S2865) nforce4 board, AMD X2 3800+, 2gb RAM, Nvidia 8600GT, Samsung Spinpoint 250gb SATA-II.

Any suggestions? Thanks Zephyroth for a great release!!

Same problem here, ASUS A8NSLI SE nforce4, AMD 64 3500+, nVidia 7600GS, 2xSATA disks. Mail doesn't remember passwords, no idea how to fix this...

1. Go to Utilities, open the Keychain - search for the mail(server) passwords that you set with Mail.app

2. Right Click -> Information -> Access -> Allow all Applications to access

3. Fixed :)

Thank you so very much. Fixed, indeed.

P.S.: Someone could sticky this solution, I guess there are others stuck with this issue.

I'm glad that it helped. :)

Following puttabong's advice, the Mail server password didn't do it for me. However, following the same acvice in .Mac access did.

Thanks puttabong,

Rick :)
