Patching Apps to work in Hazard Snow Leopard
Wondering what your recommendations would be to patch Apps to work in Snow Leopard, I've seen a listing of Marvins and AMD Patch Utility, but they look like they were released for just Leopard?
I can run basic functions in Snow Leopard on my rig, but not iTunes, Firefox, OsX86Tools or Kexthelper. Any thoughts? Thanks |
It looks as though you have to do this from single user mode prior to boot. The problem here though is I am not totally sure how to do this. There is a guide on here somewhere on using Marvins but it speaks of a patch directory of which I cant find in the marvins app.
As you know though I am in exactly the same situation as you and although I am in SL I can basically only use the browser at the moment so need to patch my patchables. Good Luck! |
Actually have Hazard running now, but yea I can't get itunes to run or kexthelper, its really strange..
I can't get the AMD software patch utility to run either |
I have to say a big part of my frustration of this whole thing is the lack of help I get from others on this forum, luckily Bunglehaze and I have tried to help one another, however I have only had one other member answer my post, pretty frustrating when no one even responds. I would be perfectly happy with a response saying, "look here stupid!"
I've been really patient, worked my way through this by my own trial an error, but I can't for the life of me figure out this issue with itunes and such. I have downloaded the AMD Software patch but it throws the same error as iTunes. Can someone please direct me to the solution on how to correct this, apparently there is away using Single User mode, or terminal? Thank you |
I would help you if I knew, but I have no idea about that or amd.... I know how you feel though. don't give up you'll eventually get it
|
Thanks SportsGuy for responding to me, I agree I'll eventually get it, like I did all the other steps however after finding success of the install it would just be nice to have it done and over with and I know there are people on here that know how I can fix it :)

I know I need to patch cpuid's, but Marvins nor Zeophyroths patchers will run... I'm running on the legacy kernel which I an guessing doesn't have on the fly patching is there a kernel for AMDs that does right now in Snow Leopard?
|
Come on.. some one? I have to say when i first found this site I was willing to donate to keep it running, however I'm not seeing a whole lot of help going on...
I'm usually a patient person... but this is just ridiculous... :( |
You posted your initial query yesterday at 5:49 PM (US Eastern time), then started griping about the lack of responses at 8:55 PM the same day, just three hours and six minutes later. The fact is that this is not a tech support line; it's a Web forum for individuals, many of whom have better things to do than to check it on an hourly basis, so it's quite common for a post to go without a reply for hours or even days. Your level of patience must be on the same order of magnitude.
I don't have a complete answer to your question; however, I do know this:

srs5694,
My frustration has come from weeks of not getting any response to other questions, it finally came to a head with this issue. I'm not trying to offend anyone, it would just be nice to be responded too, I know I am not the only one feeling the same way. I appreciate you responding to me. Here is a screen shot of what is happening with iTunes, Firefox, as well as Marvin's AMD Patch Utility etc.. http://www.infinitemac.com/picture.p...&pictureid=106 This is the report: Code:
Process: iTunes [491] I have not been able to locate the patching utility in my install of Hazard, which came off the Client Server ISO, could you tell me where you found it. Thank you! |
