Updating Leo4all 10.5.2 to 10.5.8
Hi!! I just installed Leo4all on my PC. Works perfectly, and I decided to completely move myself from Windows to Hackintosh... and so I did. Got my music, files, docs and messenger service working now.
First I installed without ACPI Fix enabled and I wasn't able to boot... got stuck at Code:
MAC Framework successfully initialized However, I'm not able to get iTunes Store (with iTunes 9) working and iWork 09' Trial. For iTunes Store, I require the latest Safari. To update it, I must have Leopard 10.5.8. The same goes for iWork. I've been surfing the net, and I found out that with Vanilla Kernel you just download the update, and reboot without problem. BUT, I had problems. My first attempt was from the Apple Software Update, downloaded the 700MB update, clicked restart and the installer opened... crashed at 6%. I rebooted pushing the reset button, and Leopard was not able to run anymore. I don't remember the error, nor I wrote it down. Sorry for this one. After restoring from Time Machine backup, I downloaded from Apple Support Page the Combo Update. Installed it... and rebooted. No luck again. This was the last line I had: Code:
[HCIController][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries Restored from Time Machine once again... and here I am. I'm not sure what Leo4all version I'm running (torrent said nothing about that). During install, I changed nothing but switched to Vanilla Kernel and checked ACPI Fix. So... how should I update? I really love this OS. I'm saving to get a real Mac, but for now... for us the guys with low budget, this is perfect :P Thanks for your help in advance :D |
**Bump** Having the same issue updating from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8...I did the entire backup of my kexts and even backed up my kernel, but when I use the delta update to 10.5.8 it hangs on the apple logo screen forever and never loads completely? I too want the entire package, but if it is this much trouble I guess I can stick with 10.5.7. The only reason I moved up to the latest delta update is because iTunes kept crashing and giving me kernel panics when I picked on a song to play...odd but this maybe a different subject for a different thread.
Any ideas guys? |
