iPC 10.5.6 on AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200
 

Hi All,

i need your help for installing iPC 10.5.6 distro on my AMD pc

here is the configuration :
CPU : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
Motherboard : nVidia MCP61
Graphics : nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Sound : Realtek High Definition Audio

i installed it but it won't boot, it gives me the error : boot0 error
and tried to repair windows 7 to boot with EasyBCD but no way :( i got chain boot error or something like that.

please help me, and thank you in advance :)

Try to boot your installation using the DVD. by typing rd=diskXsY where X is the number of the HD starting to be counted with 0 & Y the partition startung to be counted with 1. (You can also find these numbers out by booting the installer again and having them displayed in the Disk-Utility.)

If this will allow your system to boot succesfully try to install the Chameleon v2 Bootloader manually (see the how-to included in the binary download for details)

thanks it boots now, but the sound won't work have you any idea ?

Try latest VoodooHDA - install it using KextHelper. It's kind of universal driver, that should work on most Audio Codecs.
