Would MAC OS work on Sony VAIO vpceb14en?
 

hello there
i just wanted to know that would mac osx leopard work well on a sony vaio vpceb14en
anyone got it working on the same?
if so please post here the steps in short and the links to kexts

config
intel core i3 processor
intel hm55 express chipset
3 gb ram
ati raedon HD 5470 graphics
intel high definition audio (uses the realtek high definition audio drivers)

any help would realy be appreciated

This is my first post!!!!


Yes the installation of Mac OS X quite possible on VPCEB14EN laptops.

After several trials and Formatting of HDDs .
These are some steps to follows which leads me to successfully install mac.

1. The most running flavour out of all I tried is iKalyway 10.5.2( download it from known sources.)
Tried MAC installations are iATKOSv5,v7,iDeneb,Snow OSX universal...

2. Above all mac versions installed successfully on VPCEB.
checklist
a) Create primary macos partition.(20 GB size) using windozs disk utility.
b) boot with downlaoded DVD of iKalyway.
c) use boot flags "busratio=20 -v" (without quotes).
d) meanwhile system check system pauses several times. Don't worry. your installation goes smoothly.
e)Customize installation by all selecting Graphics ATI Drivers for only latest drivers(NOT BOTH). Don't touch any other options.
f) after successful installation Restart.

3. May be your system goes in Welcome Loop.
Follows steps
a. Boot in Single user mode by using -s boot flag initially.
b. run following commands.
root #/sbin/fsck -fy
root #/sbin/mount -uw /
root #passwd root
root #touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
root # reboot.

4. After restart ENJOY Wonderful world of MAC!!!


I hope this will help on latest notebooks from VAIO Series.having ATI graphics. for other graphics card while customizing package installation,CAREFULLY select Graphics Card Drivers as per your system support.
