I am sure you can
My CPU is Pentium 4 HT, just before Pentium D and after Pentium D is Core2 The only difference between Core 2 and your Pentium D CPU is that Core 2 can run vanilla kernel whereas you must use a patched kernel The best patched kernel for P4 and Pen D is Pcj kernel you can find this kernel here always replace a vanilla kernel by a patch kernel OR you will get kernel panic Precisely, you follow other guide to install with an USB ( I find out this is the best way ), and remember to replace vanilla mach_kernel with a patched kernel with the same name (also mach_kernel) Quote:

Kernel Panic after install
Tried OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Patched DVD for Intel-AMD by Hazard... It installed fine, used 'Legacy Kernel' but after installation while OS X boots up I get "Debugger called <double panic>" message after loading Apple HDA & TMCey driver or something like that I'm not exactly sure....
But when I reboot the machine I get a CMOS checksum error after the POST !!!!!! Any suggestions ???? System Spec. GA-G31M-ES2L(Mobo) Intel PentiumD 820 (CPU) 2GB 667MHz DDR2 (Transcend) Seagate Baracuda 250GB SATA RTL 8139C PCI Ethernet Card |
