Halp! Dlink DWL-G510 on Snow Leopard
 

Hi All,

Got my iHack up and running 10.6.4 smoothly, except my wireless card does not work. I have a Dlink DWL-G510 Rev B. (atheros chipset).

I've followed guides for getting various atheros cards to work on various versions of OS X. Most of them involve getting a kext file from an older OS X update, putting it the extensions folder, repairing the permissions, and loading it via terminal.

I have also played around with a 65 bit kext from netkas, alas no luck so far.

None have worked for me so far. I am running 10.6.4 in 64 bit. Please help me find the right kext and get it installed!

I don't know how apocryphal it is to link to another forum. We're all one big happy family of hackintosh enthusiasts right?

Turns out I needed some old wireless kexts from 10.6.2.

There is a bit of plist editing involved too!
