Thank you so much.

Nice, is there any difference between this and the kernel nawcom published on insanelymac?

Hello,

Works like a charm.....
This kernel is going to be better an better.
Would be really great that it would possible to boot with arch=x86_64 with Chameleon2 RC5 because with RC4 it is no problem but i need to use this version of bootloader because of the injection for my graphicscard.....

One thing iīve to say. It is really great that the community have people like you!
I know itīs a really hard work.
So iīve to say thanks for all your hard work... ;)

+1, is there any difference???

The only difference is that it removes certain routines that causes reset on 64bit kernel.
Other than that it is identical.

x86_64 's Kernel panic (AppleACPIPlatform)

Thanks a lot for this new update :)

when I use the "arch=i386 -force64" everything works like a charm, both 32 & 64 bits apps

but when I use the "arch=x86_64" (with or without -force64),
I get stuck with this KP related to AppleACPIPlatform

FYI, I'm running the SL (retail) updated to 10.6.5 on my AMD P-II x4 & my ATI SB790 mobo (using your AppleATIATA-7 kext)

If i try to boot with arch=x86_64 it allways restarts. :(
With RC4 instead of RC5 it doesnīt restart but i canīt get into OS (because of my graphicscard) so that i can say for sure that it is the bootloader.
My CPU is a AMD Athlon 64 X2.....
Or could this problem triggered from an kext? I use one kext where i canīt say if it is 64 Bit compatible.... (SB600_SATA_ATA)
Iīm right with it that i would be not able to boot with -force64 if it is not?

It would be really interessting how to solve the problem....

Use my AppleATIATA for Snow Leopard, it is 32 + 64bit universal...

RayFlower 11-29-2010 03:57 PM

hum, anvalv isn't working with this kernel unlike the nawcom kernel, it gives me a instant reboot with 64 and 32 bit.
With chameleon 4 it works with 32bit but 64gives me the AppleACPIPlatform kernel panic, but I guess it will take some time before thats fixed.

Just out of curiosity, which bootloader do you recommend us to use with your kernel?

Anyhow great work!
