hi,
not too long back, i converted my desktop pc (a hp pavilion a1120) into a mac, i used jas release 10.4.8 for intel and amd sse2, sse3. And i got all my hardware to work. Recently i picked up a laptop. This is a Compaq nx 6115, which has a Amd turion processor 1.6 ghz, 1 gb ram and ati x200 graphics. i would like to know what method i should use for installing os x on the machine. I tried using my older 10.4.8 dvd but the computer didnt boot after the install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TheDragonfly |
You can try 10.5.2 (rev2) iso. Anyways Leopard is more interesting than Tiger. I do have everything working (including QE/CI) in Tiger, but iPhone SDK does work only in Leo and this is mostly the only thing I currently need from MacOS ;)

hi,
Thanks for your response, I was just wondering if you would know what kind of driver support ill get with 10.5.3 rev2 iso. thanks. |
I'm not sure about "ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Chipset". CPU should work and video too. Don't know about ethernet, but broadcomm wifi might be working.

the admins deleted my post for some reason, but the 200M should work according to what I found through insanelymac and other related discussions on this forum. its worth a try though.
