Ralink Wireless Utility on OS X Lion

Hi guys,

In Snow Leopard, I use an application called Ralink Wireless Utility to gain wifi access through my Ralink RT3090. It was officially for Leopard, but it works perfectly in Snow Leopard; I wish it were the same for Lion. The application has no problems starting up and detecting my network card/other networks, but when I try to connect to one, nothing happens. I already tried this, but it didn't help at all. This is one of three crucial things I need to get working in order to use Lion as my daily OS. Thanks for any help, tips, and recommendations you guys can give me! ^_^

It's not 64-bit. :) So it won't really work.

Thanks for replying! Would it be possible to boot Lion in 32-bit mode so 32-bit applications would work? And also, would there be any setbacks/disadvantages along with booting in 32-bit mode? Thanks! ^_^

No. Lion needs 64-bit mode for many apps, such as Finder. And when Mountain Lion comes it will be pure 64-bit.

Aw man! Do you know of any way to get wifi on a Ralink RT3090 card on OS X Lion? If not then might as well uninstall it, as it will be completely useless... :-|

WOOHOO! I got my card working by using an older version of WirelessUtility. I've attached the application I'm using to this post. Thanks to Fuego on irc.osx86.co - #lion!
