sleepimage issue
I had the same problem. Read this:

I fixed this issue by set hibernatemode to 0.

Sleep issue
Sleep does not work in my machine. As I know it can be fixed with some dsdt moifications but did not have success yet.

ASUS N61VG success
I would like to report, that ASUS N61VG almost 100% compatible.
With EMpire EFI and retail disk i successfully instaled SL on this machine.
Both cores are working.
