Did you try to do this in safe mode? You have to boot with -x option from chamilion or boot-132.

I installed leopard 10.5.6 yesterday and with the kext attached in the first post system show audio card but it doesn't works. Today i will try to update at 10.5.8, i hope to solve this problem....
