My biggest problem was not having the SB600ATA kexts. Patched the DVD. And I can honestly say it's been the smoothest most stable install I've done, (and a hell of a lot quicker too!)

When I booted with the drive turned on it would mount but finder would crash immediately. And when I turned the drive on after booting it wouldn't mount but showed in SP....

In my case it was fine, not the same mb (MSI K9AGM2) but 10.4.9 needed legacy disabled in Bios. Installed the Zeph 10.5.2 R1, reactivated legacy again and it was all there.
Have a lot of issues...
