System.kext failed when installing the 9.5.0 version for Voodoo Kernel. Upon replacing it, everything is good. Unfortunately verbose mode failed to inform me that System.kext was a empty folder.

It is not possible to run a vanilla copy on AMD machines. However any modern distro should work however you need to burn your DVDs at a slow speed.

I assume since you are running an AMD that you are using Voodoo kernel. That stated when running 10.5.6 your kernel is still 9.5.0 not 9.6.0 so use the Voodoo installer to reinstall the System.kext...

The 10.5.1 Framebuffer makes no difference. I'm in the same boat I have QE/CI but I don't have full resolution (1024x768 as opposed to 1280x1024) and the VNC server causes a kernel panic.

Well it is the disk mounting that is causing the panic. It definitely looks like the seatbelt panic. You might try reinstalling it from 10.5.5 anyways, it couldn't hurt.
