Occasionally, i was able to install 10.5.1 and 10.5.2 rev1 but rev2 causes this error.

now struggling with booting from hdd, but this issue is too popular to mention =)

the BIOS actually was "normal" but it crashed (fate!) right before the installation so that the default values were set.
wonder what tweaking is needed to be done...
