I'm not sure the last time you tried but the most recent Leopard releases cover most common hardware. As long as you know the key chipsets of your mobo you should be able to get a stable system up...

You should be able to try any intel release such as Leo4all, Kalyway, Iatkos, JaS etc. Gigabyte boards are pretty compatible.

I've not heard of your gfx card before so good luck with that :)

First thing to do is check and see if your sata's device & vendor id is in the AppleNForceATA.kext. If it isn't then thats your problem, you can work out your drives ID by using PCIUtils...

I've used both Zephyroths 10.5.2 and Leo4Allv3, they have both worked well for me. Apparently eddie11c completely rebuilt the filesystem in Leo4Allv3 to fix lots of permission issues.

When you get the kernel panics what does your Console say? That should give some indication to whats causing them.
