It's most likely a problem with the legacy kernel plus the custom dyld patching which still doesn't correctly fix everything(yet), had the same problem with halflife2 until nawcom found the solution...

hum, anvalv isn't working with this kernel unlike the nawcom kernel, it gives me a instant reboot with 64 and 32 bit.
With chameleon 4 it works with 32bit but 64gives me the AppleACPIPlatform kernel...
