Mouse Lag/Choppiness
It seems to happen at random.
Like the Dual Core Timing Issue but cpus=1 kernel flag does not fix it. As well the duel core fix on the iPC 10.5.6 PPF5 does not help. Mouse pointer lags when you move the mouse. Also the pointer likes to skip around the screen. If I do manage to get the mouse to the dock I noticed that the dock animation is also slow. This is after I have a fully working system QE & CI enabled. I installed a zephroth patched itunes 8.02 installer and after restart I got the lag. But when I booted over to my text OS X install on another drive it too had the lag. Once I installed paragon ntfs and that gave me mouse lag after reboot but I removed the applications folder and that fixed it. Another time I installed parallels and after reboot it had mouse lag. Some help would be appreciated! remove AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext ... but copy it first in the safe place for back up ... if you still have mouse lagging after remove the file, you can restore it ....

What combination ?
Pls see below
I installed Voodoo 10.5.5 as I read someplace that if you have AMD , you need to have 10.5.5 but (in one of the many installations) I still saw the lagging and choppiness you mentioned. Did not try to remove the file AppleUpstreamxxxxx something or other mentioned in this thread. I'll tried that later. -------- I have the following system and have been experimenting - not a lot of success MB: ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM CPU AMD 64X2 5000+ Graphics: Nvidia 8400 GS SATA drive - Have a "version" of Leopard (10.5.2 -> 10.5.4 -> 10.5.5) PATA drive - This is the drive I am trying to install the 10.5.6 4 GB 800 MHz RAM PS2 Keyboard (wireless) and Mouse Audio - Built in (AppleAzalia works well Eth: Internal (nForceEthernetdriver works reasonably well) - Nvidia nForce 430B Gigabit External - Ethernet-to-USB - works pretty well Loaded base + chipset formy sata (detects it) + NVIDIA + PS2 fix + nForce + appl. voodoo kernel + seabelt (i read AM==> voodoo + seabelt somewhere). Mouse very slow and erratic. <=== LAGGING and CHOPPY Loaded base +chipset+ keyboard fix => Unable to detect KB and Mouse I also have te problem of booting of the DVD, but I solved it by installing from the existing 10.5.5 Any way any suggestions greatly appreciated |
