![]() First of all, HI
![]() Second of all, maybe there is a solution somewhere on the forum, but I can't see it. After installing iAtkos i4 or i5, on boot time, with the spinning thingy, a no sign appears over Apple's Apple, and the system hangs there. This doesn't happen on iAtkos i2. The disks are fine, and so is the DVD. Any solutions? ![]() |

That symbol normally signifies the 'still waiting for root device' error. As a previous iAtkos release has worked for you, it indicates that you have not installed the chipset driver for your hardware (or the driver has changed).
If you boot in verbose mode using -v on startup, you'll be able to see the actual error message. So to solve my problem, I need to follow the Sill waiting....solutions thread or to look up my error in -v mode?
and btw. If I upgrade, do I get any mayor changes or should I stick with i2? Last edited by HijackHacker; 12-27-2008 at 04:27 PM. |
