1024 x 768?

I only have 1024 x 768 option to choose in the Display Panel? Why is this?

Btw, i have XFX Nvidia 8600GT 512mb

You don't have QE/CI enabled.

Go to that link, grab the NVkush installer, extract and run it then cross your fingers and reboot.

Here's another alternative if that one doesn't work for you.

You might also be able to use a string depending on your chipset, it doesn't work on all, doesn't work with my Nvidia chipset. PCWiz has a nice GUI that can apply strings for you. Matter of fact, you might want to give this a try before the others. It's much easier to recover from, you can just boot with "-v -f -F" if it fails.
