Is this a new board that you just set up?
If so, check the shutdown/restart connectors. Gigabyte EX58-UD5 - i7 920 @ 3.2 GHx - eVGA 8800GT Asus P5Q Deluxe - E8400 @ 3.6 GHz - Asus 7900GT iMac 2.2 GHz - 4 MB |

Its not new, works perfectly in Windows 7, just in OSX it is weird, shutdown restarts, and restart restarts.

Seems that it is an software problem that OS X calls an shutdown that does in real an restart. Some part of DSDT may be involved but i dont know which part. Also the problem isnt an problem only of those newest mainbords & Snow Leo special, i also seen that problem in insanely forum for complete different (older) mainboards & 10.5 also. Not an very often problem , but know i think. I would search the (at this time much bigger) insanely forum for that shutdown restart switched problem. |
