Thumbs down iAtkos v7 wifi problem

Hi everyone, this is my first post on here! I am new to the whole osx86 community but have recently managed to get iAtkos v7 up and running on my Packard bell laptop.

Full spec for my laptop is:
CPU: Intel Celeron Dual Core T1600 1.66GHz
Motherboard: PACKARD BELL BV PE2L
Graphics: Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family
Hard Drive: Hitachi HTS543216L9A300 ATA
Optical Drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N ATA
Ethernet: Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
Wireless: Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter

I have managed to get most things working pretty well however, the one thing that doesn't work which is probably the most important for me is the wifi. When installing iAtkos v7 i selected the RTL8187B driver in the customize menu, and when I boot into OS X i get the Realtek WLAN Client Utility, this then shows me a list of available wireless networks and i can then connect to my home network. However, when i then go into safari and try and access a webpage it says that i am not connected to the internet. If i try and run network diagnostics i get a green light for ethernet, an amber light for network settings and red light for the other 3. If i go into system settings i get an IP address of 196.254.x.x (x.x is different everytime i boot) and subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 after a bit of googling i understand that getting this is a result of not being able to connect to DHCP server. If anyone could offer any advice on how i could fix this it would be greatly appreciated!

I hope i have given all information needed however, if there is anything else you require just let me know and i will give you anything you need to know.
