Only method that worked for me on an HP Compaq 6510b:
Wipe out HDD with built-in Disk Sanitizer. 0.1% does it. Set to boot from HDD with DVD second. Put Kalyway 10.5.2 iso in DVD drive & boot. Customize with vanilla kernel, GMAX3100 if you've got one. Install LEAVE DVD IN DRIVE on re-boot. Works 80% - Fully functional Leopard 10.5.2 desktop comes up; USB, Bluetooth & card reader OK. PCMCIA slot, WiFi, sound and NIC are dead. I'm a total nubi, still trying to get 10.5.2 to upgrade to Snow Leo. Saw that you got the same response to request for help I got - zero. These suggestions may be totally worthless on your machine. Good luck. |
