How can I get in-put jack working on iPC 10.5.6

Hey everyone,

I'm new here so nice to meet you all but I have a very serious question.

I installed mac os x iPC 10.5.6 on my HP Pavilion dv6907ea Entertainment Laptop and it's great except one very important thing.

I just CAN NOT get my audio in-put jack (for external mic or electric guitar) working! It seems to be completely dead.

I really need to get it working as I need to use it for recording in Garage Band. Please help me because I can't figure anything out.

Update:

My audio works as well as my headphone jack. Only the input jack is not working! Please help me.

1. Get latest PCI Utils for OS X from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...owtopic=113219 and enter "sudo lspci -nn | grep Audio" on Terminal, cause without any information about the device your notebook uses, noone will be able to help you any further.

2. Tell us what solution you are currently using.
